Normal sewer jetting operations frequently require multiple passes through the line. Jetfoam™ liquefies the grease and keeps it in suspension -- allowing you to get superior cleaning results in a single pass.
Jetfoam™ cleans by using the following principles:
Using high pressure (i.e. jetters), sewer grease is physically cut loose from the sewer pipe. The sewer grease is then blended with Jetfoam by the mechanical mixing action created by high pressure jetters. Once this occurs, Jetfoam™ emulsifies sewer grease. Essentially, a “milkshake” consisting of grease, Jetfoam™, and water is created and sent down the line in a liquefied form, preventing grease recoagulation.
Always follow label directions.
Use proper protection.
Jetfoam™ should not be used in temperatures below 40° F.
Proper mixing is very important. For best mixing results, use the jet’s recirculator system for 10-15 minutes or:
1. Fill half the tank with water.
2. Add Jetfoam™ (mix 5 gallons of Jetfoam™ for every 500 gallons of water in the jet’s tank).
3. Complete filling the tank.
Each 5 gallon pail of Jetfoam™ (or 500 gallons of Jetfoam™ solution) will treat approximately 500 feet of line up to 10 inches in diameter.
Sewer Line Cleaning
Direct solution up sewer line at high pressure and half volume between
When solution reaches second manhole, shut down equipment and allow approximately 10 minutes for product to penetrate and lift grease. If the grease accumulation is old and hard, wait an additional 5-10 minutes to allow further penetration.
Spray back to original manhole at high pressure and volume.
One pass through sewer lines is usually all that is required.
Flush the line with clean water to remove remaining debris.
Manholes, Wet Wells and Lift Stations
Using the jet truck, spray a direct stream of the Jetfoam™ solution onto the grease for 10 minutes.
After stopping the spraying, wait 10 minutes to allow penetration.
Blast the grease with high volume and high pressure regular water.
Avoid direct skin and eye contact. In the event of direct skin or eye contact, flush affected area with water. If irritation persists, contact a physician.
